What's your A1c

My blood sugar went up to 200 about a month before surgery and my doctors were not okay with that number.  I don't know why your doctor would not be worried at 415.   With RNY at 6 months out I am still taking medication but hope to be off of it as I lose more weight.   I thought RNY would immediately control type 2 diabetes and it does for some and not for others.   I have never heard that VSG controls blood sugar - have you checked out all of the options?   I would consult with a different endocrinologist to get a 2nd opinion.

I just came along you post.  I have an HA1C of 4.8 and I dont' have hypoglycemia.  My sugars are perfectly normal.  I think it depends on if you go really high and then really low, you then average out the same number as I am at with a normal number all the time.
