Diabetic Neuropathy and Neurontin

Does anybody on here have neuropathy and take Neurontin?  My surgery is scheduled for November 2 and I have been on Neurontin for a couple of years and want to make sure it is okay to continue taking that after my surgery.  My feet burn so badly most of the time and I have a hard time exercising because of this.  I would appreciate any suggestions from anybody who has this condition.
Thanks!

I have lumbar radicolopathy which feels the same as neuropathy and I take Neurontin also.  I am not having the RNY I am having VSG mainly because I need to take meds like Neurontin and other pain meds & iron pills (suffer with rheumatoid arth., fibro, etc., etc.)

I also experience the horrible burning of my feet.  It stopped me from being able to exercise too.   I can't  really help with the post op stuff but I feel your pain, literally
