i need some help

My surgeon called said if i dont get my glucose down its like 348 no surgery its set for monday, what can i do i am already set for 2 day liquid diet and bowel prep?

Are you hydrating enough?  That will help -

 

remember BG levels fluctuate. Are you testing at home?

 

are you on medication for diabetes? would think you'd need insulin at that level  There is a correction formula - its different for everyone ASK about it.  You may need insulin for the short term. - but I'm not a doctor.

 

I'm type 1 and it usually takes 4 to 6 hours for me to come down from being that high.  Hope your able to get there - you def don't want to be that high for surgery - for it can climb higher

I found this site diabetes-research.net that deals with diabetes.
