increase in blood sugars

I am 3 weeks post op (RNY). Up until a couple of days ago, my sugars had ranged from 76-125 taken at random times during the day.  Yesterday afternoon, it was 146 and first thing this morning, it was 141.  Also, I WAS losing weight at a rate of about a pound per day.  However, I have stayed about the same for a couple of days now.

I'm concerned that my diabetes is raising its ugly head again.  Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

My blood sugars rose as i began eating.  Made sense to me.  More insulin needed to cover more food.  Just stay away from carbs, as it is a slippery slope back to the big "D"!

Don't worry about the slowing of weight loss right now - that is completely normal. Many people hit a brief stall at round 3-6 weeks after surgery as your body tried to figure out what's going on - as soon as it realizes you're not starving to death, you'll be losing again.

As for the sugars, you might just have to give it more time. It's not always an instant fix with the surgery. And, yes, watch the carbs (but I'm sure you know that). Since my DS (which has a higher type 2 dibetes resolution rate than RNY), I've had some morning fasting readings that were high, but now that I'm about 2 months out, my numbers are much more consistently in a lower range.

Your body is going though a lot right now with the healing and adjusting and losing weight...try to be patient.

Mine levels rose right before surgery to an outrageous 200 in the morning  78 at 3 p.m.  it was crazy before that they were around 107.    Now 8 weeks out my levels have dropped to about 110 range.  I was really hoping the RNY surgery would cure my diabetes (because that is the outcome for a lot of people) and maybe it will as I lose more weight.

Don't due random times during the day, Due before each meal  each day. doing random it only goind to upset you.
To get a average you need to be consistent in  taking your sugar levels.daily. It will also bepend on what you are eating, also keep tract of that. Your exercising will also effect diabetes. Plus your emotions,
