Diabetes, dumping, and the DS---for PRE-ops

If you're diabetic and considering WLS surgery, PLEASE research the DS. Not only does it have the highest cure rate for Type II diabetes, there's no dumping with the DS.

I just read the post below this one about dumping and glucose tolerance tests. The poster was understandably worried about having a glucose tolerance test, because she dumps on just a few grams of sugar, and this test involves a LOT of sugar. If she'd had the DS, this would NOT be an issue for her.

Just something to think about.
