bg international measurement converter?

Hi all!  I want to follow whats going in this forum but our bg measurements are different here in New Zealand.  For example a normal reading is between 4 and 8.  So you see it doesnt relate to your figures. (A bit like centigrade and fahrenheit and kilometres and miles i guess). I just wondered if anyone knew how to convert the two so I can make sense of what I'm reading?
