well I feel lost, I was told i was prediabetic before my surgery had symptoms of
it ( skin issues etc.), had my wls not to soon after; symptoms went away. well for the
past year or so I've been having symptoms of low blood glucose my wls nurse
told me it was dumping, I wanted to make sure so I bought a meter and when I was
having symptoms tested; it was 48 so I ate some peanut butter crackers tested again
in an hour and to my surprise it was 248, I've had fasting blood sugar but its aways
normal. nurse says Im eating to much sugar, has anyone ever had dumping syndrome
that makes you extremly hungry, shaky, dizzy, and blurry vision. just dosent seem right
to me. any advice would be great.

I've been washing my hands but I've been testing since the high level and they have been
been all over the place low and high, I was diagnoised with pcos a little while ago and my doctor put me on metformin im hoping it will help control my blood glucose levels for the past week I havent had any really low levels which is nice of course traded it for metformin side effects. thanks for the info though.

This is a pretty inactive area of the forums--I recommend posting this on the Main Board or RNY board--somewhere where more people will see it and respond.

I've read now three times in two weeks on a diabetes forum of people freaking out because they get crazy high blood glucose level readings on their glucose monitors. Come to find out, they hadn't washed their hands before testing--washed, retested, and levels were more normal. Wash your hands thoroughly before testing your blood. 248 should never be a reading for a non-diabetic, surgery or not.
