SUPER INSULIN RESISTANT
I'm SUPER INSULIN RESISTENCE ------------- WHAT DID YOU DO TO LOOSE WEIGHT........
I can't loose this weight because of my diabetes. If I eat too little I get dark circles under my eyes and start to feel sick and weak. I'm tried the Atkins diet (only 7 days) and lost a few pounds maybe 3-4. But I want to loose 20 or more. I am on Metformin 1000 mg a day and metoprolo ?? (never heard of it).

For the last 6 weeks or so I have basically cut out all carbs and have been eating only meat, fish, eggs, cheese, cream, butter, walnuts and high-cocoa chocolate (at least 70% - usually 85% or higher). I recently started adding back some leafy green veggies (Romaine lettuce so far). I drink plenty of water, green tea, and some evenings a glass or two of dry red wine. I don't count calories.
The biggest thing I noticed is that I am no longer hungry (and I've been hungry for 25 years!) I have also lost about 25 lbs in the past 6 weeks. I don't expect the weight loss to continue at that pace but for me, almost zero carbs seems to be doing the trick. When I used to eat carbs they just made me more hungry... usually for even more carbs. My BS levels have been near normal and stable, I am using only 1/2 as much insulin as before (Type 2, using Insulin Pump) and my lipids (cholesterol, trigs etc...) have never been better.

You are not super insulin resistant. If you were, you'd be on a great deal more medication than you are on. I don't know how long you've been on the stall, but I'm sure the dietician will help you with that. Looking at your blog I can see that you have made some good progress already and probably are in a typical stall.

If you lost 3-4 pounds in just 7 days on Atkins, why not continue?
