Neuropathy of Feet
My feet are recovering, which can be a bit painful because I can feel them more than before! I'm getting sensation back in my toes, and I had neuropathy along the tops of my thighs and thats gone now.
The retinopathy is going away, slowly. I'm relieved that my sight isn't getting any worse, but I had strange patterns, disturbed vision and 'blood spots' before the op. Now its just a bit blurry in one eye, 3 months out.
My blood sugar is normal and steady, no matter what I eat. If you've haven't heard of the DS, look into it, it's a lifesaver for Type 2 diabetics. I'm cured, forever.
I have had sever neuropathy of the feet which resulted in Charcots foot. If your feel to foot is swollen do not take the advice of your doctor when he tells you it is jus****er retention. It could be charcots foot. It is a complication diabetes that is in only about 3% It is the absorbtion of calsium for the foot bones that causes the arch to drop and the bones to get micro fractures. It also causes a rocker bottom foot. and there is no cure.....If caught early and a cast is put on until the flare up stops..(Yes it is progressive) I could be the differnce of walking and not.
Sorry to rant. I just am so disheartend My insurance has an exclusion and every day I find myself sliping closer to death and the salvartion is an operation that I cant afford.
Please forgive me
