smelly urine

Has anyone heard of this being a symptom of diabetes?

I don't know that it would carry an odor...but when urination is symptomatic of diabetes, its' frequent. Mainly because excessive thirst is also a symptom. I can remember drinking tons of ice cold water and rarely passing a bathroom. I don't recall an odor. Some foods we eat (like asparagus) cause urine to have an odor.

Dear Tanya: I heard that foods can contribute to this but I never heard about this for diabetes. I would get it checked. Yours on the Journey, Al Soto
