Okay, since this Board is really slow....here's a hot topic I hope to get some answers from. WHEN DO YOU TELL THE PERSON YOU ARE DATING THAT YOU HAVE HAD GASTRIC BYPASS. Being so far out (3 years) I eat pretty normal....smaller portions for sure, but nothing that would cause any eyebrows to be raised.

That's a good question. I am 2 years and 3 months post op and have lost 230 lbs. I had the plastic surgery on my abdomen but nowhere else. I look good with my clothes on. Naked I look 90. I'm 51 and just started dating 6 months ago. I'm scared to death to get close to a man. Yet I'm lonely. I do not know what to do.

Hi there, I am almost 2 years out (next month) and can pretty much get away with being a normal, healthy eater and person to most guys... but what I can't get away with is not explaining the circumferential scar I have from my LBL in July if we ever decide to move to the next level... so if I feel like someone may be around a while, I usually fess up pretty early out in dating. Usually when it comes up (likee when I order only SF drinks, pass up really sugary desserts, or tell them I dont drink soda or whatever. I have only had one guy really wig out about it... and he was obviously not someone I wanted to keep around. Do what you feel is comfortable for you. If you don't want to tell, don't. Good luck to you out there! xoxo.
