Topic: RE: Gail (freebieholic)
Hi Gail,
Pretty close to free and can find some great deals at times are the thrift stores or salvation army stores if you have any in your local. We have a radio program here in our town that airs 5 times a week called the trading post and at times people will call in and ask about craft supplies and leaflets and there is alot of people who give that stuff away. I too, am a broken down nurse but will soon be on the mend and back to work. ( positive thinking here ).. )
I love plastic canvas crafts and do some painting and have started doing cross stitch. I haven't had alot of luck finding things free but i do love garage sales and i watch hobby lobby sales and they have some great 1/2 price sales at times. Like this week they have aida cloth for cross stitch on sale 1/2 price and that is really a good deal. If you like to talk crafts or share craft ideas email me sometime.. . i am a craft queen.. or so my kids say.. lol
nice to meet you

Topic: RE: Homemade Soaps
Hey, I love to make soaps to. I usually make soaps and candles to match and put them in a decreative basket for Christmas. My problem is, I spend more making the soap than I would if I bought soap! How can I save money, I shop at Michaels and I thought that was the cheapest place, till my credit card bill came LOL!!! Any ideas?
Topic: RE: Homemade Soaps
I have always wanted to make my own soaps. Could you tell me where to find the supplies and how to do it? I am not a crafty kind of person. You can email me at [email protected]
Topic: Homemade Soaps
I make Homemade Soaps and do Craft Shows. I love homemade soaps and will never buy storebought soap again. I really enjoy making them and trying different scents and colors.

Topic: RE: I love to create!
I love to cross stitch and embroider the most. I have a very stressful job and I think that creating is an outlet for all of the stress. I really enjoy making gifts for Christmas. I have 4 boys, and as they have grown I have made numerous things, from sweat shirts with their favorite cartoon characters on them to Christmas stockings. I like to think of it as my legacy to them, all of the baby blankets that I have knitted and crocheted, to the cross stitch blankets I now make. I have even made a few pictures for the walls, that I like to show off. My goal is to have a Christmas tree with nothing but handmade ornaments on it. I too like to try out new things as long as it doesn't cost too much.

Hi! I used to told paint, but my hands don't work like they used to...guess I am just getting old in the joint department.
I have just taken up beadworking...trying to make me a prayer chain of different beads I have gotten and some beads that I made earrings from. Right when I was getting a good start on it, my hands acted up and 3/4 of it landed on the floor all over the place!! Ever try standing on your head to pick up tiny little things you cannot even see because they blend in with your dark brown carpet? (Love the imaginative colors of low-income housing) LOL. Anyway, I will pick it up again very soon. It is going to be quite interesting and different. Guess it is a left over from my hippie days. After all, I am an old hippy hippie! LOL.
Sometime I would like to pick up the needles again and try to crochet or knit again too. That was always fun and relaxing. Only if I could remember how to count. It seems there are new stitches out there now. Is that how you spell stitches?

I would love to get into more crafts. It's like I never have time, or never feel like doing much, cause my back and legs start hurting....even sitting down. I'd love to learn to crochet and knit though, that would be awesome
