I love painting ceramics. I don't do them for a kilm as I don't have one so I usually do the bisks instead and spray them. I live 45 miles East of Knoxville and don't know where to find them. I usually bought them at flea markets, Michaels, but not around my area. If you know where I can buy the ceramics, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you, Kathy

Topic: Looking for Bead Buddies in Valley of the Sun (Phoenix area)
My name is Nancy. I'm a recreational beader looking for beading buddies. I like wire wrapping with beads. I think beading and wire-wrapping is relaxing...like therapy. I bead alone...and I think it would be fun to have other bead buddies to work with, share ideas and make new friends. I would also be willing to form a beading buddy group if anyone is interested in contacting me...if there are already bead lady groups in mid-Phoenix...(yow!) please email me! Also, anyone reading this message lives in Metro Phoenix area and is interested in buying seed beads: My gal friend, Pattie has been hauling her moms seed bead inventory around since her mom died last year...Pattie's mom used to teach bead and craft classes for Peoria and Sun City Parks & Recreation 15 some years ago. She's got a LOT of seed beads of all colors, sizes etc. Vintage, older beads. I've inventoried the beads, weighing, sorting etc and I'm passing flyers out to everyone interested in buying Pattie's moms beads at a Blow-out Sale on Sunday Nov. 14 for the same price her mother purchased them for 15+ years ago...hanks of beads (10 - 12 strings, 25 - 30 oz) for $1.35 - $2.00. I'm not a retailer...just a beader and crafter like yourselves. Since Pattie isn't involved with craft and bead people...I thought, why don't I help other beaders have the opportuntity to buy seed beads at a kick-butte price? I get to meet new beading buddies, she gets to buy a headstone for her mom and everyone is happy. So if anyone is interested, please have them contact me at [email protected] and [email protected] and I'll email you with the details...time, location, etc. Thanks! And I hope to meet other bead and craftspersons soon!

Hey Gail, just got to read you e-mail. it hit home. I think there should be a support group for us crafters. I have tried to do it all, and loved each new craft I started. I have even dragged my husband into the craft business so he will do most of the wood working projects. he has taught me to use most of the tools. but I am still afraid of some of the saws!.. my newest company is with a girl friend. we are making Texas Gift Baskets (actually they are not baskets, they are wooden magazine holders). Think we need help?? ha, ha. Linda

I Love to create. I will usually try just about any craft. I enjoy cross stitch, quilting, crocheting and have recently got into doing some woodworking. Anyone have any suggestions as to a good website that might have some nice free woodworking crafts that I could try out?

I needed to get back on track and get into a regular (as in regular food) eating pattern so I looked up low carb eating on www.ediets.com . It's $2.99 a week right now and they have exercise coaching, etc. available too. Check around on the internet before you commit.

They're also good in the garden and fruit tress to keep away the critters. Hanging on fishing line, they swing in the breeze and the reflection scares the critters off.

Hi! I am a craftaholic! I do some of everything. Primarily, I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I love to make cards and will start scrap booking soon. I do One-Stroke painting and am learning Rosemaling (Norwegian folk art). I crochet afghans and toys for kids, make things from polymer clay and throw pots on my potter's wheel. If it involves crafting - I'm there. My husband has started to try and keep me out of the craft stores so I don't try to start a new crafting theme when I have so many others on the go. I'm hoping I'll be able to turn it all into a money making venture after surgery - which I hope to have within the next few months.

That is a great idea. I've seen people use them as coasters.
