Topic: Crafty in NJ
Hey all!
I know it's crazy, but I am actually looking forward to surgery because I will have some recovery time to do some crafting! I recently started some scrap booking. I have a bunch of photos and all sorts of "Stuff" ready to work with while I am down. Look out, if you're not moving, I'll glue you down! HA!
Good luck to everyone on this wonderful gift you are giving yourself! I hope all of you feel your creativity grow, while your body shrinks! It's a great new lease on life. Keep positive, and keep creating!

Topic: RE: Craft Fairs
Missouri has alot and Kansas also. If you go to the Travel pages of the state you would like to show in they usually have a link to the events and listed are the craft fairs. but don't just stop there, the state fairs are wonderful, expensive but I use to make my money back on the first day. If you can't find these call the chamber of commerce in the cities you want to go and they will give you the numbers of the people in charge and the dates of the shows. GOOD LUCK. Let me know how it turns out.
Topic: Love Crafts
I did make candle holders and love to sew, crochet, paint among other things. I use to sell in all the craft shows from Tennesse to New Mexico up as far as North Missouri to the gulf but alas due to carpel tunnel that ended. Does anyone reverse collage or do the paper lamps?

Topic: RE: cds
This may be a bit wild for some, but I used those free CD's in my house in Florida by glueing them to the ceiling. You know how the backs of them are mirrored? Well, I glued them all over my bedroom ceiling and had a mirrored ceiling.
In some of the CD's, where the hole is, I screwed in cup hooks and hung fairy ornaments with clear fishing line so it looked like I had fairies flying around my room.
Ok, so it never got into Better Homes and Gardens, but I liked it.
I think it scared a few people...had them wondering just how freaky I was!

This is so off topic and the web site is purely commercial. What is it doing on AMOS site?? It should be removed
Topic: RE: Homemade Soaps
What kind of soap are you making? I make mine in my crockpot and use lye and oils,it is ready to use the next day if need be but is better if it sets for a few days or a week to harden more.
I have suppliers all over the US but your right Michaels is too high for even melt and pour soaps.

Topic: Beaded cranberry & popcorn garland
Does anyone have directions for a cranberry & popcorn garland that is crocheted with wooden beads for cranberries? I tried winging it but it just didn't look right. I tried searching the internet but I can't find exactly what I am looking for. I had seen it at a craft fair a few year ago. Thank you.
