Topic: RE: Any Counted Cross Stitcher's?
I started a Eagle head 2 years ago, you can almost tell it's a eagle, I also have 2 other projects started, so when I get bored with one. I told myself I could not start another project until I get at least one done. I do love counted cross stitching. Have a great day. Kaye
Topic: RE: Any Counted Cross Stitcher's?
Hello, Kaye. I love doing counted cross stitch. I only wish that I could find the time to do some. I have some pillow cases that I was going to for my best friend's wedding. They've been married for three years now. I have three kids (ages 11, 10 and 1), a dog and a career military husband.
Counted Cross Stitching is addictive, isn't it? If I have something I find it difficult to put it down.

Topic: Love to make gift baskets for friends and family and also Christmas wreaths
I love to make gift baskets for friends and family and also Christmas wreaths. I just made a baby girl gift basket for our bariatric coordinator and a christmas gift basket for my sister for Christmas. I also made some stocking gift baskets made out of a basket for the children this year for their stocking stuffers. If any one would like to see that please ask. If anyone would like to see some of my work please via e-mail me at [email protected]
Topic: RE: Balloons and Baskets
I too am into the making the baskets up. I recently made one that is in the shape of a cake using 3 different size towels and a paper towel holder with beautiful christmas ribbon and straight pins and a already made christmas bow. I used the different types of small bottles of perfumes and I took them out of the boxes and put then on using the ribbon to hold them on. I would have to send the pics to you to show you what they look like. I also put together easter baskets for children and basket stockings for children. I also do candle gift baskets. I just hate the celafane wrap. I can not seem to find any big enough to do the baskets. I have also done baby gift baskets for new mothers.

have u thought bout getting some of those pre-made ceramic ornaments and then painting them? walmart usually has a selection to choose from and they have all the supplies too.
while ur at walmart u could try cross stitch. i know they have little ornaments in just about every design. i think the ornament size kits r only 2.00 max and usually comes with everything needed to do the kit.
if u wanna try crocheting the needles arent very much and u can get inexpensive yarn too. now the books can b alot if ur just starting out but u can always get a book from the library or look up ''crochet patterns'' or ''learn to crochet'' on the internet.
try doing a search engine on ''crafts'' or '' homemade christmas gifts''. u can find alot of things on the internet for free if u just take alittle time to search things. thats what i do. also u could try going to the local library and look in their craft section. might give u some ideas.
i know i enjoy making things and i dont have lots of $$ either. ive done things like:
crocheting scarves and caps
making homemade breads & candy
painted ceramic ornaments
decorated boxes (i started with the heavy cardboard ones u get from walmart)
good luck and happy crafting!!!

I am not a crafty person at all but would love to be. I have tried to learn to make potholders & can not get the stuff, so I can not do crafts that need to sew or knit. I have very little money to buy alot of expensive things to make things with. I have a 11 yr old daughter & 15 yr old son & neither are crafty but would love for ideas that are easy & cheap so we can sit down on weekends & do things together for crafts, gifts for b-day, or craft shows, & especially for CHRISTMAS & GIFTS. any & as many ideas please send me an email...thanks so much!!!
