I just found out that the release date for Windows 10 which is July 29, 2015, but you might have to wait until later to get it.

This is what Microsoft had to say by that "Microsoft said today that it would be rolling out Windows 10 in waves, "slowly scaling up" the rollout as it sees how things are going. The intention seems to be playing it safe and making sure that Windows 10 is getting a good response and running smoothly across the millions of different systems out there. Microsoft may even issue updates to Windows 10 between its July 29th release date and the time that some early adopters are actually able to download it.".

This is also what I have read on the internet from "The Verge" about Windows 10 (they did the paragraph above this one in the same article):

It sounds as though Windows Insiders — who are already testing Windows 10 — will be able to receive the update on July 29th. After that, people who have gone through the Windows 10 reservation process will begin to receive the ability to update to the new OS. When the rollout hits them, Windows 10 will download to their computers before they're presented with the option to update. It actually seems like a smooth and sensible update process, even if it may disappoint some who were hoping to jump in right on day one. Microsoft doesn't state how long it expects the rollout to take.

In the pictures and videos that I saw about Windows 10 looks okay. It looks like it's better than Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1, but having the world of both Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1, but better in what I can tell/saw. It's like calling Windows 10 a "Windows 7.5" or something (that's what I think.).

This is what "Windows Insider" had to say about Windows 10 "This combines the strengths of Windows 8 with Windows 7." & "This Windows will definitely blow the other Windows versions out of the water.".

Let's see if Windows 10 will sell better than Windows 8. It's just a matter of time before we know that Windows 10 will catch on or not. It'll take time to get use to a new program once it come out. There'll be people that will like Windows 10, there'll be people that won't like Windows 10, and there'll be people that will think that Windows 10 is so so.

Lets see what happens by the time July 29, 2016 when Windows 10 is one years old if if become a hit or not in the PC world.

Windows 10 is expected to be released to manufacturing in mid-2015. While previous reports suggested a late-2015 release with an RTM in August (in line with past versions of Windows), it was reported that Microsoft wanted to ensure that devices running the operating system would be released in time for the Back to school shopping season in North America and the United Kingdom.

Users will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 using either an ISO image, or through Windows Update. Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 with prerequisite updates will support a direct upgrade path to 10 via Windows Update. Those using Windows 7 RTM, 8, or 8.1 without the prerequisite updates must upgrade using the ISO. A separate update with "some" of the changes of Windows 10 is planned for Windows RT; as such, Microsoft does not officially consider these devices to be compatible with Windows 10.

On February 2, 2015, Microsoft announced that it would provide a free ARM port of Windows 10 for Raspberry Pi 2 devices through its Internet of Things developer program.

I am wondering if anyone tried/used Windows 8? What do you think of it? Is it easy to use? Is it hard to use? Is it complicated to use it? Is it confusing to work with? Did you get use to it after a while? What do you think about windows 8? Can someone share with me on your insights about Windows 8? Is there anything else I should know about Windows 8?

I am fairly new around here and was playing around trying to figure out the "ticker" that folks have in their signatures.  I got the basis figured out but can't for the life of me figure out how to update it when I lose weight...if anyone wants to walk a newbie through the process, I would be grateful!!

Is anyone looking forward to the launch of Windows 8 in late October 2012? I don't know if I'll like the new Windows 8 or not. I kind of like Windows Vista, but I like Window 7 a little bit more than Windows Vista. I guess it's good that Windows gets updated more often then usual lately. That's how it seem to me. As soon as you get use to a Windows program, then Microsoft updates there Window program with a new Windows program. And speaking of a new program coming out, Microsoft Office 2013 (formerly Office 15) will come out between October 19, 2012 and April 30, 2013 if this is correct on what I have read and understand. So, lets see what happens when Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2013 comes out. I wonder if they will be any good or not let along if these two new programs going to have any bugs in the programs when the two comes out. There is only one way to find out and that is when the two programs comes out.
