I had stomach pain one night this past march, 11 years since my 1st surgery. I was in the operating room that afternoon with intentional obstructions. Not even twisting. GET TO THE HOSPITAL. Your concern for your kids is wonderful, but they need there mommy with them...forever. do not worry or over worry about a revovery time, Please. I am not meaning to scare, but this happened to me in March from adhesions and scar tissues. Also people have problems with the mesh, if you had that used.
I just lost a friend 2 DAYS AGO. seriously.
Please, think quickly and talk to your family, yur doctor, but dont wait...PLEASE. I am begging you and this is my 2nd post here.
God Bless
My recovery time was petty quick, basically 2-3 weeks, but only really bad for the first 1--14 days. Maybe because, they used the same incision I've had used a few times before. thus, part of my adhesion and scar tissue problem. I had open procedures.
There are very smart people here, please listen to them.

Im now considering a secon opinion.

That's horrible! I hope they get this figured out & quick!! If not, I think a trip to Duke is the best plan, very scary road you are on and I will keep you in my prayers for sure. I'm actually getting ready to head over to Cleveland clinic this am to check in for surgery. Take care hugs to you
I have had a rough time since I had my rny in 04...I got down to 82 lbs I looked and felt like I was at the end of the road... Not even enough water to take my much needed meds...even jello would come back up...I ended up in the hospital many times with a small ulcer I was told and the pain was so unbareable I couldn't eat or sleep I walked the floor's...
I was put on a PICC line for 4 months for nourishment and all the nourishment was 1,000 calories per day and it was making me sick...my blood sugar would go up to 500 then it would drop to the 40's...I ended up with a temp of 102.9 in the ER and blood work came back of my white count being 1,700 which ment an infection and thank the Good Lord for a PCP that cared enough to treat me so out came the PICC line and here I am with pneumonia waiting to get some better before another endoscopy and looking like a feeding tube...if not I will be sent to Duke to have a complete RNY reversal -6/7 foot of intestines that I don't have...
Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers...
