Thanks for responding :)
I did have the band, I'm one week away from my one year bandiversary and I've been stuck with no loss since Christmas. Partially because of my food choices...partially because I have no restriction. That being said, I just went this past weekend for my 6th fill and I think, I pray, I might finally have some restriction. Not sure just yet but it feels a bit different this time. Who knows, the band can be rather fickle..one day you feel restriction, the next...nothin! LOL. Anywho, I'm just trying to find out as much as I can about the sleeve right now. I'm not ready to give up on my band just yet, but if in the future I decide to have a revision, at this point in my life, I seriously thinking about the sleeve. I just want to educate myself as much as possible now..in case...I decide to go that route.
I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well with your sleeve and so are the people you know. That is wonderful to hear :) :) :)

I have several friends that had the VGS, (that is why I decided to go with it) and have not had any problems either.
To avoid lows, try eating a light snack between meals or whenever it is you become symptomatic before symptoms set in. Also, try to not eat too many carbs in one meal without balancing it with some protein. Caffeine also makes me crash faster. The worst thing is for me to eat pancakes with syrup and drink coffee.
Midmorning is a big crash time for me and that will just about do me in! Of course, now that I am post RNY I couldn't eat that anyway for other reasons, but I am speaking from experience priot to surgery. Now, I find balancing my protein and carbs at each meal helps prevent the onset of symptoms.
To be able to do reversl - you would need to find an experianced surgeon to do that. It is hard - but not impossible.

I'm trying to find out what the complications are that could happen after the sleeve?
Any info you can give would be very much appreciated...thanks :)

The surgeon who did my rny said it didnt need to be reversed maybey just reworked.Ikept losing weight no matter how hard I trried I went From 6"4" 535 lbs to 6'2" 174 pounds in 1 1/2 yrs. Surgeon was nonresponsive to my complaints and issues.Fainting,Leg swelling.tooth loss.hair loss.super thin fingernails getting weaker and weaker till they split way up into the bed which bleeds and hurts...Iwas admitted into the hospital in tulsa Oklahoma and spent my 2 yr anniversary in hospital had a pic line giving me nutrients and FAT 24/7 for two weeks before they would talk rework.I asked about a reversal and the dr in OK said he would rather leavethe rest of the surgery as it was done ...The first Dr. bypassed to much of my small bowel causing short gut disease also known as short bowel. The common channel was raised by 100cm.Ayear later I had a bowel kink then traveled to charleston and spoke to the head of bariatrics who told me in a warm caring scottish brouge.Once they cut across the nerves divide and staple the stomach You CANNOT REVERSE IT. He said even if you could get someonne to try it. All you would ever di is puke and puke and puke.you'd never be able to keep things down.I wish this type of surgery should be outlawed even the fellow who originally developed the technique says its side effects arent worth it.
I hope you find out something and I will let you know if I do here!
I had my surgery in Oct. 2004 and have also just found out that I have the same problem, only I didn't know it had a name. I'm very interested in any information that you or anyone else on this site can offer. I have an excellent surgeon, but am extremely concerned for my health and need to know what our options are.
My thoughts and prayers are with you!
