I agree... It sounds like it could be a hernia... Especially if they already saw one. I had a hernia, and they couldn't see it until explatory surgery. I had my surgery reversed do to other complications. The surgeon that did my reversal has done more than anyone in the area. He said the main reason for doing reversals is unexplained abdominal pain. I tell you this, not to say you are going to have to have it reversed... That is RARE.... I tell you this to let you know that you have nothing to be embarassed about if they find nothing. It is a real symptom, sometimes it just can't be explained. MOST of the time, they see something during explatory surgery. It could be scar tissue or adhesions from previous surgeries... that is always a risk with surgery.

Although my pain at that time was so bad that I went straight to the ER, I am again having this same pain again.
It isn't everyday, but when it comes on, the pain is in my back, I hyperventilate, feel like I am having a heart attack, it's gone after 5 minutes but I actually have to get on all fours....it's like I'm popping something back where it needs to be inside. I know what you are talking about, you can't do anything at all and it is very very scary. I need to go back and have them check, but the finances have kept me from it. I've had this off and on for the past year. Anyway, keep us updated, because I am concerned I have another internal hernia. Thanks
I had the same thing and it ended up being a internal hernia, same day surgery corrected it. I can't say that is it, but please don't put it off. You don't want to risk anything, and I was able to go home the same day. Beth
But the notes/diary are critical to getting is dx rather quickly. So, as you go along, just keep notes answering those questions.
*I* can't do anything with that info, but the docs can knit it all together.

P.S. My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
I did go to the doctor and he determined that it was a virus with acid problems, thank goodness. Still haven't thrown up but still have some pain. Wondering if I should go to work tomorrow.

Any one else had this problem? How did you cope? I am so cranky and have now lost 250 pounds. The doc keeps telling me not to loose anymore and I am not trying too but have been because of the nausea. I am just miserable and depressed.
Thank you
