I'm wondering all if when you talk about smoking, if its cigarette smoking? I wonder about the smoking of other substances?

It's hormonal responses to what you did to your body. Actually it is quite common. Go see your Dr. Your meds may need to be changed.
Topic: RE: X-post another COMPLICATION now Anemic!
This is some good information. I'm working with my hematologist now to figure out my anemia issue. It doesn't help matters that I was born with Thalyssimia minor .
We talked yesterday about doing a bone marrow biopsy to rule some other things out.
I'm going to mention to him about the non-iron deficient thing!
I'm tired of being tired too!!

I have been feeling like I have been going crazy this past month! I have often times thought about checking myself into a mental hospital! Has anyone ever heard of ............
POST OPPERATIVE DEPRESSION, or POST SURGICAL DEPRESSION?
I found out about it doing a search about the causes of depression. Then I Googled it. I read that it can occur immediately after surgery as well as up to months later. I am about 3 months post-op. Lately, I have been having severe anxiety attacks, severe depression, crying spells, even times throwing tantrums! Has anyone else heard about this? Has anyone else gone through it? Is there anyway out of it without being put on antidepressants? I was on those in the past and had trouble tolerating them. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Topic: RE: stomache pain after eating/nausea 7yrs pos RNY
I'm surprised nobody has posted, and I'm sorry I can't be much help as I haven't had the surgery yet. But from my research and reading the boards, I thnk if you're having nausea that isn't going away, you should play it safe by getting to the doctor. If you're having bloody stool and abdominal pain as well as nausea, then you really should get to the ER, as this is an indication of bowel obstruction. If it's just nasuea, then I think it could be any of the things you listed, or an ulcer. Either way, only the Dr. could give you a diagnosis, so it's good you called the surgeon.
Good luck!

Topic: RE: Leg Edema and low protein
I have the Matrix 5.0 and a GNC 100% Whey Protein that I also use. The Oh Yeah is very convenient for me to bring to work and put them in my fridge. I do have the IDS vanilla/cinnamon I think, but it might be outdated. When you were in Tucson there was only 1 that I really liked. I have the package at home, I will look at it. I think it is an IDS vanilla.
Phoenix, I will have to play it by ear. As you can probably figure, I am not committing to anything right now. If I can go, I will do my best to be there. I see the Dr. in Phoenix next week, if I don't get a call before then.
I have had reactions to the whey shots and even the proteinex. So some of these types are out of the running for me.

Topic: RE: reversed my RNY
I feel so bad for you. If you want, read my blog posts, I have been through a lot, and still am. I have had my surgery reversed, and I really hope it is the answer for you. I am at Cleveland Clinic right now, and I wish I had come here a lot sooner. So, keep your head up, the reversal is a HUGE surgery, probably bigger than the original one, so you are going to feel bad for a while, your body is in major shock, especially if your nutritional status was in the toilet like mine when you had the reversal. hang in there!
Topic: nausea
I had nausea from the moment of my RNY then I had the reversal was o****il yesterday when it hit again! Is this normal after a reversal! I can't keep anything down! I have a salty taste in my mouth and I am wondering if that is what might be making me nauseous. At a loss waiting for the surgeon to call me back at least I go to see him in the am if all else fails!

OMG, we need to get you matched to a powder that is similar. Syntha 6, Gaspari, - those are both creamy like that, when shaken with water. IDS and Pure Whey Stack are a bit thinner, but still creamy in flavors.
My staff can help you get similar to the Oh Yeahs.
Will I see you in Phx?

Michele,
I am pushing them. I will try to increase more on top of what I was doing. The only one that seems to agree with my system right now is the Oh Yeah, it's expensive, but at least I can drink them. At this point cost is not the deciding factor, I have to do them for my health and do them consistently, because if you don't have one you like you won't do it consistently.
