Were you doing weight-training as you were losing? If not, then 25-30% of the weight you lost was muscle...regardless of how much protein you were getting in...
Have you had your labs done recently? If not, getting them checked could confirm or rule out a vitamin/nutrient issue...
If it is just that you've lost a lot of muscle, you need to start weight training...it's never too late.

I can certainly understand where you're coming from. My husband had the RNY surgery almost 2 years ago and was 585 then. He now weighs 230 and is so weak and bony!! You would think that after losing that much weight you would feel so much better. He loves the change and wouldn't change it. Best of luck to you!
