CAN'T STOP LOSING WEIGHT
It will be 2 years in Nov since I've had my surgery. I am happy that I did it, but I can't seem to stop losing weight. I have gone from a size 26/28 to a size 2, I've lost 135lbs, I am 5 feet 2 inches and at 120lbs.
I wanted to stay at 130 was wearing a size 6 and looked at lot healthier than I do now, but I keep losing!!
I have been trying to increase my calories, eating every 2 hrs since I can't eat too much at once, I am eating more though than I could before.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Hay there Susan,
There is an online web sight www.fitday.com that can help you keep track of just what you are eating. BUT it also tells you nutrition and such.
You might try ENSURE ot BOOST they are nutrituonal Drink. use them as your snack.
Good luck

Hi Susan,
Congrats on your success. It is hard when we get to the point that we are sure we don't want to loose any more weight. Maintaining can be as difficult as loosing. I am taller (6'), my goal for was 170 (my goal, dr did not give me one). Well, I met & passed this by 10 months post-op. I not maintain at 155, size 6-8. I was really worried, so I immediately went to my Dr to be sure there was not problem. It is not impossible, but very RARE to continue to loose to an unhealthy state. My dr just smiled and said my weight is perfect for my height & body structure. It has taken some adjustment but I have come to accept and actually really like my new body.
I did not exercise for the first 9 months post op, mostly because I was loosing so quickly. My weight loss seemed to stop, so I started taking dance classes & I immediately lost another 6 lbs. I have found that I have to make sure and keep my calories up. Like you I still (17 mo post op) cannot eat large quanties, so opt for smaller meals. Especially on days I exercise, I am sure to up the calories & add extra snacks. The hard part is trying to do this in a healthy way, it is so easy to eat the wrong stuff.
I never thought I'd "have to eat" to keep up my weight...but I do. The good news is that I am healthier than I have been in 25 years.
My biggest suggestion is to get checked out by your Dr, make sure all is well and get suggestions from your nutritionist for healthy ways to up the calories.
Wishing you continued success & the best of luck,
Pam
