BAND EROSION
Lisa, I am very sorry your going thru that... But over the 10 years of me being on the fense of whether or not to WLS, that was one of the key factors that caused me to cross the lapband off my list.
I had heard of some ppl that had had that happen to them, but most of them were several years out.
If you dont get any response on here regarding the issue, I would type it into a search engine and see what you come up with...
I do hope they find what is causing your pain soon, since I have had my RNY, I have had some serious complicaitons myself to work with, and I do know your frustration....

When I was having my surgery, I met 2 women who were there for RNY because their band eroded. Both of them said they never had any pain, they stopped losing weight and started gaining it back because of the damage from the band. There docs did some xrays and and swallow studies to see what happened and found the band erosion. I hope your MD did a full work up to make sure the band eroded and failed and is not just guessing this.
