Upper and lower abdominal pain

Hi folks! I had RNY surgery in Feb. 04 and a hernia repair and TT in Feb. 05. I don't know if this is related to any of the surgeries, but for the last 2 days I have been having abdominal pain; upper and lower, with bloating and lots of belching. When I eat or drink it hurts more, and it hurts to walk. I also am not having bowel movements as I was before, although I did go a little today. I am hoping this is only gastritis or something similar, as I start a new job on Monday. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks for any responses.

I had this problem after I had my gallbladder removed 2 weeks later I was in a car wreck .Pain meds make you constipated,gassy and bloated when you get full of dodo you will hurt all over and you will have a hard time eating because the food has no where to go because your are full of dodo take something to make you go get it all out and the pain will go away I went to the ER and had exrays taken and all it was I was full of dodo I hope this will help you

Hi Darlene, I have had multiple surgeries and had a lot of abdominal pain along with constipation. I just had surgery for bowel strangulation, it gets more painful until they find it. They couldn't figure out what it was until they opened me up. I feel much better now, Good Luck

I have been going thru the same thing......I had gastric surgery 8-04 and TT 3 months ago and a few weeks ago I started hurting like you and went to see the doc and they took x-rays and it showed a small bowel blockage. They put me on suppositries and told me to see how that works for a few weeks and if it dosent get any better they are going to take another approach Porb surgery

Did you have the lap band surgery? What is the worse thing you went through. I am in the process of going thru all the test to see if I can be approved for having the lap band surgery....I am wanting some help in knowing what to expect from all of this.....it is overwhelming Thanks, Brenda j Ure
