no weight loss? anyone else????

I am almost 2nd year aniversary and only lost 25 lbs total. I am too depressed to even think about it. I can eat and drink anthing with no side effects what so ever since the 1st month of surgery. Has anyone else had redo's? How long does it take to get sched.? I no longer have insureance,who is going to cover? Hopefully the doc but what if he refuses?

Patty, I'm so sorry you are having this problem. I saw your other posting on the post surgery board. I'm sorry for all the lousy feedback you recieved. I could not believe it! I think you must go back to that Dr. and let him know he screwed up. I hope that he will do a revision he should not charge you for it. Let me know how you are doing. Good luck

im about to have surgery.. but i dont understand. how u could not loose more weight.. ihave never hard of that.. has ayone toldu why that could happen??

I had a Hiatel Hernia during the surgery that the phys. did not notice. I didnt learn this till the next day out of surgery when they did the barium swallow and made me drink extensive amounts of the horrid dye crap. Then the doc came and told me but not to worry my pouch was a little larger than the normal pouch and I would still get the same results it would just take a little longer than normal. Well it was left alot larger not a little. A large portion went up under my lung cage and naturally dropped back down on its own. It as more than a cup big. That is why I did not loose any weight or very little. Not a normal cir****tance by any means. He did not of course want to take any responsibility for it when confronted so I am now seeking a malpractice lawsuite against him. I hope yours goes wonderful and you dont have any negatives with the procedure. Just in case you do, remember not to stand for it. Dont blame yourself most importantly. Alot of things happen out side of our control when we are under the knife.

Hello. I read old posts sometimes just to read something new. Your posts are from 2005. Did you ever get resolution? I was hoping to go to your site and read how you got revision surgery, lost the weight, all is well.

I don't need WLS, I just need to eat better and do SOME exercise. I weigh about 210 which I only realize when I look in a mirror, or see a picture. I'm not in many pictures!

My husband and I spent our first 21 years in Iowa. Then on to Hawaii, WA and OR, and now Ohio, 45 years later. It is grandchildren territory.
