Abdominal pain

I had surgery August 18, 2000. I've been doing fantastic, however I'm having abdominal pain now. I had a baby last April 2004. I had to have a c-section. Could that have done something? I had the lap rou-n-y w/ Dr. George Zorn. He is fantastic. My only regrets is that I should have done the surgery along time ago.

I would inform your RNY surgeon about your C-Section. Maybe he could determine why you are having abdominal pains now. Warmest Wishes, Shannon Brown

It is possible you have adhesions on your bowels from multiple surgeries. They are like scar tissue that sticks the bowels together and can cause pain. They are not life threatening, just an annoyance. The only way your can find out for sure if it is that or something of more concern is to see your doctor. I would start with my PCP. You could have anything from a bladder infection to cancer. NOt to scare you, just get it checked out.
