4TH ENDOSCOPY SO FAR
I had my surgery done on 032105 I've been on liquids only since then I may need to make more serious decisions like getting the RNY reverse or being opened up again there still running tests I've lost almost 60 lbs since surgery I still have more to lose but I feel horrable how do they reverse RNY is it lap or incesion? Can anyone help?
I was talking to a friend who decribed the same things you did. she said her Dr. found out that her stoma was not sewed down tight around the edges. The Dr. had left a rugged edge and it interfered with things. He went in and fixed it. she is now doing great. She had had 5 dialiations before they found out what it was. The thing I like about this forum, is if you have a problem, you can at least get ideas to tell your Dr. Good Luck.

Hi- I had surgery on Jan 12, 2005 and I've had strictures from the beginning. I've had a total of 13 EGD's so that's about 1 every 2 weeks. You should read my profile. I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel now after 5 months of this. They have talked to me about a revision but I want to stick this out. I feel fine and do not want anymore EGD's done. But, they want to keep checking it to make sure I do not close to a pinhole anymore. AND BOY do I ever agree with you about the IV. NOBODY can ever get my veins anymore. I've had to have anesthesia usually put in my IV. They have talked about putting a central line in me. But I never pursued it. That was probably 5 EGD's ago. I just wanted to let you know that I feel for you and hope things work out. Keep up the positive attitude. I'm just now after 5 months starting to come around with a more positive attitude about this. As far as the reversal, they did said that was not an option for me. They would do a revision. I originally had a lap but the said they would have to open me for a revision. The endos are starting to work for me and I think I will be home free with no more surgeries. Good LUck, Tammy
