Hey everyone, I went for my 6-month follow-up and found out that I have a hernia along my incision line. The doctor wants to wait until I lose more weight and then fix it and perform a TT (probably 2 years). I'm worried that I might do something to make it worse. What should I avoid? I still want to exercise and wanted to start weight-lifting. What should I look for if it starts getting worse? What was the procedure like to fix it? Thanks for your help.

Bobby - I found the same thing at yesterday's 7 month checkup - the doctor wants to fix mine right away - and perform a tummy tuck. I'm conflicted as to whether or not I want to go through "all that" again so soon after the first surgery. Terrified is more the word - for the first time in years I am mentally and physically feeling great about myself and my body (okay, so the excess skin is a drawback - but I can live with that). Any information you can get on the hernia, I'd love to share - I'm waiting now for a second opinion appointment - my surgeon is wonderful, his staff is great - but I'm still terrified!
