Stomach Pain

My husband, Brad, had lap RNY 11/18th, and except for a little depression, did really well till he started purreed food this weekend. Now, he says that about an hour after he eats, he gets really nauseus and has intense pain below the sternum. He called the doc, first thing this morning, and we are going to see him tomorrow, and will probably have an outpatient procedure since the doc thinks the problem may be scar tissue related. Has anyone else experienced this? Please give some info for a concerned wife.

Sounds like his stoma may be a little closed causing the food not to pass well. OR he could be eating too fast which causes nausea and you feel like you have a baseball stuck in your chest. Quite painful. I wish him the best! Elizabeth M

I had surgery November 19, 2004 and has been doing well until I got to purreed food. I have the same problem I called the doctor and was put back on just liquids. I have been getting heart burns and feeling kind of funny. I go back 28th of December if things don't get better I will go before. Nothing seems to be digesting. Call the doctor that is my advise.
