FINALLY! A PLACE TO GET HELP FOR LOSING tooo MUCH WEIGHT!
Thank God! Finally, a place to "safely" vent about losing too much weight. I really need some help. I am 16 months post op. I am 5'7 and am teetering around 120. (size4) My doc says there is nothing I can do but EAT more, or have a reversal. Surely, there must be someone out there who has experienced this and has more advice than that. I was a lightweight to begin with starting out at 230. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Paige
Hi Paige, yes this is a place you can come to to vent but I have found that not too many seem to post here. I too have to work on keeping my weight to a healthy range. I wear a 4/6 but I actually enjoy that size. My problem is that I could easily be anorexic if I chose to do that. I haven't been like most long term post op and had a tremendous hunger to return. I rarely get hungry and when I am what I would say is hunger, it is not like before my surgery....it's like I get weak and know I must eat something. I tend to think on certain days I have eaten too much so I wa**** out with water. I drink, drink, drink and nothing stays in my pouch. I do take my vitamins religiously and exercise, but I find eating a chore....something we must do but I question WHY sometimes. I think the only thing you can do is try to eat higher calorie food if you want to gain weight back. I however, can't handle high fat foods and I don't care for high calorie foods like I use to. My whole outlook on food has changed. Things I once loved I hate now (like mexican food, italian, eggs, bacon, sausage) . I wish you the best. It's strange how everyone use to say you need to lose weight now they say I need to gain weight OH WELL, guess that is part of it. Hang in there....HUGS
