Hi Lovetta, I thought I had stabilized then. I have been between 125-130 now for 5 months. I think I will stay here for now. My surgeon gave me horse pills to take to help with absorption but I cant take them they are huge! Any suggegstions.

Hello. I also lost alot of weight early on due to complications, and also still have problems with nausea. I have been on narcotic painkillers and anti-nausea medicine for two years now. I did switch doctors about a year ago, and he pulled me off the phenergen immediately and told me to take dramamine. You can buy dramamine OTC in both the brand name or in generic form. The least expensive generic dramamine I can find is either at Wal-mart or at Costco. A bottle of 100 tablets at Wal-mart is $4.37 and a bottle at Costco (where you have to ask the pharmacist for it) is $3.95 for 100 tablets. What I like about the dramamine are the side effects---they aren't as bad as the phenergen, and I can take smaller doses or larger doses---and can even break tablets in two if necessary. I usually take the dramamine 1/2 hour to an hour before eating and it REALLY DOES HELP! I promise it does. It has been my tool against the nausea for over a year now, and the long term effects from taking it are not as bad as the phenergen, per my surgeon. The new surgeon that is. Ask your doc about taking it beforehand, but I think you may find it helps against that nausea. Let me know how things go for you, Take Care, Monica
