I've never heard of orsa are you sure he didin't say M.R.S.A. ( pronounced mersa) ? that's a Staff infection that is resistant to many antibiotics so the isolation is really more for the public than the paitent. It's hard to find meds to fight it, and some people take a long time to get over it. You might want to respond to the dr who accused you of not keeping it clean that you've heard that this type of infection OFTEN gets started IN the hospital -- lack of proper hand washing by the staff-- maybe HIS staff didn't keep clean enough! For more information clarify with the dr the proper spelling of the infections name and look it up on National Library of Medicins then go to the site map and look under staff or MRSA . Hope it helps! Erin
