Please - still needing symptoms of gastric fistula

I think I posted in the wrong forum before.

I had an RNY in Jan. 2010. I lost 130 pounds but still had more to go. I started gaining back 2 yrs post-op, and have now gained back 40 pounds.

I have this weird sensation of being full and hungry at the same time, I never feel satisfied, and sometimes a terrible gnawing painful hunger comes over me.

The ARNP ordered a GI series due to the weight gain but I totally forgot to mention the other problems; I thought they were my fault (maybe not getting enough protein, although my blood test was fine).

Can anyone tell me if there are other symptoms of a gastric fistula? I didn't even know what this was until a few days ago.

Thank you! I actually skimmed that thread but not in detail because I didn't think it had much about the symptoms - I see now that it does.

I vomited last night; first time since the surgery. I know it sounds crazy but at this point I actually do hope something is wrong that can be fixed - I'd hate to think the gnawing hunger pangs are normal and I have to just live with them.

Could it be a hernia? I just had a ruptured hernia repaired and I got really sick and I had weight gain and poor weight loss. I did a gi series and barium swallow and they came back normal, it was not discovered till he went in laproscopically recently, and mine was really bad. I don't want to scare you or make you feel like that is it but look up hiatal hernia or esophageal hernia and look at the symptoms and ask your surgeon if it can be that.
