recurrent pain

To whom it may concern.

I am looking for any and all ideas to get me through this abdominal pain.  It is mid lower abdomin located under like a rib from what i can tell.  It is a constant ache and burning, with sharp stabbing pain after I eat.  I have been advised to eat a bland liquid diet which I have since the pain started 9 weeks ago.

I have had an Ultrasound, CT with contrast and they both look fine.  I had an endoscopy which revieled some Eosinophilic Esophagitis which biopsys were taken.  The great news is there isn't an errosion or ulcer at this time.

I have visited my primary physician as well as my bariatric surgeon and there is no plan from here except to maintain the bland soup diet.

I am frustrated with the pain, frustrated at not feeling well and frustrated that we are at a stopping block with no further plan that to just keep up with what I am doing.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?  I feel like I am running the hamster wheel and not getting anywhere and feel like I am crazy.

PS I had my RNY in '07 with a perforated ulcer/repair two weeks after that.

Any and all input would be helpful.

Hugs. I deal with abdominal pain very often for last 6+ months. It fells like food travels to somber spot and then everything stops. I had a CT scan that show severe constipation. Since then I have been using a lot of stool softeners, mostly liquid and soft diet (soups yogurts etc) and the pain is still there. Comes and goes. You know that most of us know our bodies and I know something is not right. my food gets stuck inside me - so either I have a serious narrowing or I end up with slow motility of my small intestine. To me it feels like other scar tissue due to 3 major abdominal surgeries may be blocking - restricting my small intestines. But any surgery to remove the scar tissue would most likely cause more... At this point I am not sure what to do. Good luck. I hope you find the answer.
BTW a friend of mine who had the same surgery a month before me also deals with a lot of abdominal pain.

Hi I'm Patti and I had my RNY on June 2 2011 and I have had stomach pain literally since day one. I've had so many endoscopies, CT scans, even surgery and they don't know what it is. I had my gallbladder out 7/3/11, adhesions and internal hernias fixed. 7 surgeries in 16 months. I went to Albany NY ti see Dr. Singh ,he said I had pouch erosion, an ulcer, and a dilated stoma from so much vomiting. I wen back for a follow up and he started talking about constipation... as if I didn't know when I was constipated. So needless to day I quit going. I'v done some research on staple allergies but my doctor in Saranac Lake NY says that's impossible. So like you I'm at a standstill and guess this is how I have to live for trying to get healthy.  I hope you can find an answer because no one is listening to me.
