Recovery time for internal hernia after D S surgery

 Found out today I have a hernia after E R trip with excruciating abdomenal pain Sunday night.
I forgot to ask because I was in shock, how long I would be out of work as a Nanny. Appreciate the help.

I had internal hernia repair(petersen's hernia and a few other small spaces) almost 8 years post rny.  The repair was lap and I was out of the hospital in under 24 hours and feeling fine (better than I had in years) in a few days.  It sort of depends on whether you have bowel resection or not.  I found just the hernia repair without any bowel resection to be fairly easy and a great blessing. Bowel resection would be a longer recovery.
