Ondansetron (Zofran) Oral Disolving Film known as Zuplenz available soon
For those suffer with chronic nausea issues or intermittant there has been approved a new method of taking Zofran (Ondansetron) other than Oral Disolving Tablet (ODT), injection, or pill form. It will still be in the 4 mg or 8 mg strength.
Ondansetron (Zofran) Oral dissolving film has been approved by the FDA and should be in the pharmacies sometime in the next couple of months. Strativa and ParPharma is in the joint venture and has been awaiting the approval from the FDA on the effectiveness of the film administration compare to the forms available now. The FDA approved the request and no difference than from other methods of administration.
I see this as being a bit better than the ODT as there will not be any small granulas and a bit of chalky texture that can sometimes and in most cases does with the Ondansetron ODT (Oral Disolving Tablet).
