burning?????

Hello all I am 1 yr oout and for over about 2 weeks now I have had heart burn like symptoms... except I dont eat anything that would give me heartburn. I feel pain burning, even bloating and heaviness in my pouch area ... I had the RNY on May 29 2009, But it has gotten so bad that it wakes me up in the middle of the night.. clearly not normal. I have very soft BMs so thats not an issue actually its more like dumping lately but I am concerned, I know I need to go to the Dr. Just wondering if anyone had any clues or Ideas of what might be happening????

Sorry, I haven't checked out this forum in a while.  I hope that you went to the doctor.  If you did, what was the conclusion.  Sometimes you will have to alter your medication.  It could also be a hernia.

That is what my stomach did when I developed my ulcers. I would see your surgeon or a gastro and see if they will scope you.

When I had my RNY I developed a marginal ulcer. My symtoms were much like yours. Eventually I ended up throwing up blood and having to go to the hospital. I was scoped and they found ulcers along the pouch staple line. It's very common with RNYer apparently.

You should go to your RNY doctor. He'll probably recognize what is going on with you. I was put on a PPI (like Nexium). Unfortunately, I've been on it for nine years. I've tried to get off of it several times, but every time my symptoms would return.
