I got the lap-band 5/08 and have had nothing but problems. Has anyone has this reversed or replaced with the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass?

I had the Roux-ny and I have had nothing but problems.  I think the lap band is much safer.  I am a litttle over 2 years and still have a feeding tube.  But that is just me.  I would not recommend the roux,

I am having a band to sleeve revision in a little over a week. It is a much less complicated surgery than RNY.

Lisa, usually if the lap band is not working or giving you problems MOST surgeons will push for a conversion to rny.  all I can say is stay informed about the possibilities of side effects with the rny, especially the neurological ones. I know you have to do what;s best for you and I do pray you get to feeling better so you don't have to have any kind of other surgery
