unexpected lab results

I hope that I can get iron infusion to correct the iron and platelets problem....
Wish my doctor would give me a prescription for Valium for my hematology appoinment on Monday!!!

Really. My doc said not to worry til it's under 100.

Oddly, I have a customer who is not WLS. She has ITP, and has had platelets as low as 12! She had to be hospitalized. She is the first person I've known to have a more serious case.

If yours acts up, you will SEE it on your skin.

Please remove fingers from the panic button til you get the story. I've lived with it for 30 yrs and really, except for occasionally looking like someone sprinkled me with cayenne pepper, I'd never know. I don't FEEL anything. It doesn't seem to be changing anything else.

Just look at your appt as an info gathering period. Write down the questions. Be methodical so you're not freaking out,, unable to take in data.

1. will this disease kill me?
2. soon?
3. will I feel bad?
4. do I have to change or undo my surgery?

Those are the biggies, right?

they have a lab there and are going to draw blood monday, and probably go over it with me with the hematologist....Ohhhh boy!!!!!!!

Had  a great appt at the hematologist!!!!!!!!!!!!!  he said my platelets were 219,000 when i got there and was tested!!  Said I am fine :)
