Complications with Sleeve?
Hi,
Thanks for responding :)
I did have the band, I'm one week away from my one year bandiversary and I've been stuck with no loss since Christmas. Partially because of my food choices...partially because I have no restriction. That being said, I just went this past weekend for my 6th fill and I think, I pray, I might finally have some restriction. Not sure just yet but it feels a bit different this time. Who knows, the band can be rather fickle..one day you feel restriction, the next...nothin! LOL. Anywho, I'm just trying to find out as much as I can about the sleeve right now. I'm not ready to give up on my band just yet, but if in the future I decide to have a revision, at this point in my life, I seriously thinking about the sleeve. I just want to educate myself as much as possible now..in case...I decide to go that route.
I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well with your sleeve and so are the people you know. That is wonderful to hear :) :) :)

Re: [gastric_sleeve] newbie checking in
I'm about five weeks out from converting from the band to a sleeve. I'm also an emotional eater. I've found with the band if you ate slowly you could eat more but with the sleeve if you eat too much, even slowly, you will be in pain or throw up. I go between being angry and sad. It amazes me how little I can eat. Be sure you know and are ready for this change. I took my granddaughters out for a steak dinner( I ordered ice tea for myself) and realized that evening I would never be able to go out and have a salad, baked potato and a steak meal again.I could eat most of a meal like that with my band. This whole battle takes place in the head, I'm hoping I'll come to grips with all of it soon. I wish you the best. |
