Rapid weight loss again - 6 yrs post op

Hi everyone. I am 6 years post op and in the last 6-8 months my weight loss kicked back in again. I had been maintaining at around 160-165 and intentionally lost down to 155. Well, I guess I'm an overachiever because I can NOT stop the weight loss. I weighed on Friday at the dr's office and I weighed 130. I am 5'8", wearing a size 4 pants and they are getting loose on me. I don't know what to do. I am sick and tired of everyone freaking out telling me how skinny I am and them saying that I look unhealthy, am nothing but skin and bones, etc. Besides that, I am not very happy at this weight. I am having issues finding clothes that fit. I do want to gain weight - I'd like to gain about 15 pounds.

I have tried everything I can think of to gain. Grazing, high calorie drinks and snacks. I can't eat much still - even at 6 years post op. I got very sick last  year after my GB removal and had been put on meds for a bad knee that made me vomit a lot. That certainly had a lot to do with the weight loss. I do eat and I do keep my meals down most of the time.

My question is - do any of you have any ideas what I can do to gain weight? My surgeon retired and I haven't found another one that will take me (I haven't tried very hard either, frankly).

Thanks in advance for your advice and input. I really appreciate it.

I am concerned that something else is going on to make you lose weight. Diabetes can make you lose weight, or other diseases. Just being thin doesn't make you immune to diabetes. Don't assume it is the surgery. How do you feel in general? Do you feel you are getting adequate cals or is it a problem that can't be explained by inadequate intake?
Do you over-exercise? Do you get healthy foods? Someone once told me that not eating healthy foods can explain both inadequate weight and overweight. Most of us have bodies that go overweight eating fattening foods without the healthy ones, but we nearly all know someone who eats all of the junk food they want and stays skinny to underweight anyway. Make sure you are eating healthy fats and proteins that have a high nutrient to calorie ratio. Like fatty fish, olive oil and whole grains.

Hello,
It sounds like you are in the same boat I was (still am) in so I felt compelled to reply to this. Please find a doctor see what is really going on. I went on for two years dealing with the same problem. It took me getting down to 100 pounds (that is my weight right now) and still losing. It is a shame I have had to suffer so long but thankfully I have found a doctor who will finally help me. I wondered if there was something wrong in my head because I wasn't eating. Not true though-the doc did an endoscopy and found two ulcers, a fistula, narrowing, strictures, and a hernia. No wonder I look like this! I just thank God that I have found this surgeon. I have no choice but to get a revision and will need to be on  feeding tube for a few months (maybe less). My advice is that you are right now where I was about 4 months ago. Trust your instincts. There is probably something not right (don't mean to scare you). I hate to see you suffer because take it from me, it can be dangerous.
