Oh really?  Then tell me why I don't fit your criteria because I'm neither obese nor do I have any health issues.  I'm 4+ years post-WLS and healthy as can be.

Troll, go back to your cave.

I say you are wrong. I will be 6 years post op in October. I am well below goal, and have resolved my comorbids. I wear a size 4 or 6. Yeah, I am still OBESE TROLL!!

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

Man, I must have missed that memo because I'm 3.5 years out and still at goal (normal BMI) weight.

You may be at your goal weight, lower or above but after surgery RNY and others you have malabsorption and that's a disease that can kill as surely as any of the ones that you were cured of.
Also forced starvation not a good thing especially for people who want to get pregnant.

I don't have any forced starvation.  Obviously you're ill-educated about how a DS'er eats.  Malabsorption is not a disease and can be worked with.   Malnutrition is a disease, and a result of someone not being proactive about their nutritional needs.  There is a great amount of personal responsibility for one's own health that some people don't take seriously enough.  These are the people you see in trouble further down the road.  I am not one of them, and I help others not be either.

I agree with you saying that "There is a great amount of personal responsibility for one's own health that some people don't take seriously enough".  The problem is that people are not screened by their
Doctors carefully.  There are ways to find out if someone is psychologically able to follow the
strict guidelines this surgery requires the problem is that Doctors are more concerned about lining
up their pocket than about the realistic chances that this type of risky and demanding surgery would
succeed in some patients.

Google Malabsorption and you will discover it is indeed a disease.
