bladder and kidney infection

I have both right now.  I am one month post op lap RNY. I did a search for "kidney infection" on this site and came up with a myriad of posts in people's blogs and different sections of the board.  Seems like this is a pretty common issue after WLS surgery.

Be sure to get all your water/fluids in people!

Thanks!  I am.  Done with the meds.

My PCP wanted me to go the ER to get IV fluids...well, with this swine flu going around I never did go.  Glad I made the decision to stay home and fight this with oral fluids instead.  Now I haven't been exposed to the flu.

I am 9 weeks out of surgery and have had the signs of bladder infection for 3 or 4 of the 9 weeks, never did go to doc, just increased my fluids and it seems to help! Not sure why it comes and goes, must not get enough fluid in at times. Good luck on your journey!!

This has been the best decision besides marriage and kids that I have ever made!!
