Recovery time after big fix????

Hi.  I am 10 years post of from an open RNY.  After having problems for 10 weeks and being misdiagnosed and even going through an unnecessary surgery, I was finally correctly diagnosed with an internal hernia and had emergency surgery.  What the surgeon found was a mess.  I had a blockage where my small bowel had moved into the hernia and tied itself in a knot.  He had to do a small bowel resection and re-do the Y limb of my RNY.  It took him 3.5 hours to do.  I am 4 weeks post op and I still hurt and have little energy.  Does anyone know what the recovery time is for a major surgery like this?  I'm getting better but it's taking so long...
