I am 15 months out from RNY and have noticed the last few days that out of the blue I feel like I lose my balance when I walk..almost like I sway  to the right...Not sure if this is a sugar issue or maybe a drop in blood pressure.Anyone else experience this?
Thanks,
Sherry

That doesn't sound normal, you should see your doctor.  Did you check your BP and blood sugar when it happened, has it happened a lot, are you getting enough protein? Sorry, I;m a nurse, I can't help it

Just wondering if you have had any resolution to your problem? I am thinking low blood sugar, but also maybe MS, or something more serious. Hope it has resolved by now.

I hope by now you have gone to the doctor!  My daughter had her surgery in July. In September she started having the same (plus other) symtoms as you. they got progressively worse - her doctor was not helpful. we wound up at NY Presbytarien hospital where she finally got the help she needed. Thanks to Dr. Pomp and the neurological team there.
She was suffering from severe vit. deficiencies!
If you haven't done so already, get a CBC from your primary.

Assuming it wasn't dehysdration..... Then get to a dr.

I'm 3 yrs out and on 10/31 passed out after several of those episodes where I felt drunk - out of body, lightheaded. I was hospitalized as it happened while I was visiting my dad in the hospital. I ended up spending  days and was then released  - the dr's are still trying to determine what's going on. Since 10/31 I have become progressively worse with almost daily episode of dizziness and have had a total of 10 additional fainting spells.

I'm writing this from my hospital bed @ Cleveland Clinic in weston. They're trying to find out if it's my pancrease over creating insulin. I have not eating since Wed supper (4:30) They're trying to induce hypoglycemia (sp) to do a special test.

This will be my 3 hospitalization in 6 weeks.

Don't just ignore this as it can be serious. I have been dealing with these episodes since the early summer but ignored it and now look where I'm @...

Good luck!

This is a symptom of pernicious anemia and can be a nueropothy problem.

I have this problem at times but mine was related to letting myself get dehydrated. And then it's difficult to rehydrate quickly.
