On Line Support Group for Complications...

My name is Paticia Patton and OH has asked me to start an online support group for complications. As a weight loss surgery patient since April 23, 2007 I have endured nothing but continous complications that have left me with the ability to only eat small bites per meal and maybe get 40 ounces of fluid down daily. I have had a feeding tube for almost one year.I have endured 7 additional surgeries to try and correct my problem, 7 endoscopies and to match that 7 upper GI's. And if that isn't enough I have had 10 admissions to the hospital. In spite of all this I can say these past 16 months have been a blessing and everyday I am filled with a renewed HOPE and I want to share that with you...Now, know this I know the feeling of despair and discouragement and I have felt that at times I could die ( that was literal and true at least 2x) and physically I could barely lift my head up or grab a pencil ...those were the darkest and scariest of times..I had unbelieveable pain and I know that as well. I am asking you to try the new OH Support Group. I promise to be encouraging and answer your concerns. I also happen to be a nurse...so I understand the pathphysiology of all of this...please join me...I have read so many of your stories and my heart breaks with you...Look under Support Groups in PA. The Online one is called Patricia's HOPE! I also am a certified support group leader so I see the positive sides of this surgery as well...Please join me...Patricia
