had open rnyon 8/5/08

staples out and hemotombia drained on 8/18/08.

I went back in to the hospital on wednesday night after spiking a fever of 101.5  with incisional pain. After going to the emergency room and having xrays and a cat scan they determined I had a bluid up of fluid under the incision. they admitted me and started antibiotics, my surgeon did not want anyone but himself to drain the incision. He came by the next  morning a put a one inch slit in the existing incision and drained a bunch of fluid off. He then inserted a tube so it would not heal shut and told me I could take out the tube today if the draining had stopped. So early this morning I removed the tube as the drainage had just about stopped. Since removing the tube I have had to change the bandage 3 times today, This is a minor set back but it is annoying. I have to be on antibiotics for ten days and that has caused a good case of the trots. now I am worried about getting dehydrated. I have over 32 onces of fluid in today  and still working on more liquids. I am taking immodiium ad but for the first time ever it has not worked. any suggestions for stopping the trots or the draining or getting more fluids.

Last night I drained through the bandage with blood water and snought like substance. has anyone else had anything similar?
thanks
