Perforated ulcer..and seizures...HELP

I have a very good friend that is 3 years post-op and she was just recently diagnosed with a perforated ulcer...on the side of her pouch closest to her liver...and she started having seizures...she was flown to the hospital where her WLS is loctaed...and is in good hands now...but she wanted me to post to see if anyone else has had this happen to them...help!

Sorry to hear about your friend I hope she gets well soon, does she smoke?

Unfortunately YES she does smoke...and drink too much COFFEE...but she's going to have to make some changes...and she knows it I just feel so awful for her...she's a great person...and I hate to see her suffering

I wish her a speedy recovery and take this as a warning and the drs really do know what they are talking about.

I am pre-op but have been doing some research on some of the complications.  The seizures may be related to hypoglycemia.  You might check out Melting Mama's page - she has posted about it. Also, look up neuroglycopenia.
