Thanks all for the info. I have been getting so frustrated with  the pain i am having. I have been out for 4 years and have had no problems till these past 4 months. It travels throught my body and can start with the hiccups, then goes to stomach spasms, then moves to my lower intestines (which will go on either the left or right side). About every 2 - 3 weeks i cant eat - that lasts for about 1 - 3 days, begin throwing up (which we all know is the dry heaves because nothing "really" comes up), which can last for 1 or 2 days, then it takes me about 2 days to get my strength and energy back. I have been in the hospital 3 times with so many diagnosis its crazy. First it was the gall bladder, then a hernia, then oh no its an ulcer and GERDS. They have put me on 3 different medications and nothing works, they all just seel to make me sick.   ANY IDEA what is happening? ANYONE who has gone through this after being out for at least 3 years experience any of these symptoms. I just want to be able to go in and insist on certain tests or things for them to look at other than just dismissing me as a hypocondriac.  The worst thing is i have been able to work because I get so sick and now i have no insurance so i dont want to keep going and having to pay cash for the dr. to keep guessing!

Did you ever find out what the pain was from? Are you feeling better now?

Hello.  I thought I was alone in this and perhaps being somewhat of a chronic complainer? I have been experiencing the exact same symptoms. The pain in the belly button region and up towards my breast bone does become unbearable.  I have been to the ER, I have been told it was Gas.  After addressing that, the pain persists, BACK to the ER and nothing significant is found.  I have h-pylori, but am told by my GI doc that it does not cause severe pain as I have described.  I had surgery about 5 - 6 years ago and have lost about 150 lbs.  I have also had my gall bladder removed and have a small hernia.   This also should not be causing problems? I am scheduling an appointment with my Surgeon asap.  Its kinda scary.  THe pain is intense and has caused me to not be able to work and function normally around the house.  Please keep me updated with any and all diagnosis and all relief methods. Thanks!
