I am going to try to make this fairly short. Just looking for some ideas. In Sept we went to the ER because I had this very weird pain in my lower right side. Did a CT scan...the doc said I had alot of stool and gas backed and told me to drink this gross stuff. Things "moved" but pain remained. He had me a nervous wreck aobut it blocking off. I contacted my surgeon who looked at the Ct and said I had more than enough colon for three people and had me take Amitiza. It did nothing. I went in to see him and he jsut wasn't sure but had me try Miralax. That made me feel worse. He also has me on carafate and prilosec for my upper pain. He had a GI doc he wanted me to see, but that guy wan't on our insurance. So I am going on Tuesday to another one and hopefully my surgeon will have called him and sent him records.
Just a quick background. 4 years post op...had many strictures, no gall bladder, a lap finding an internal hernia and a lap for adhesions. This feels alot like those two things. As time has gone by the pain by my breastbone is defintely worse. The lower pain stays on my right side usually and goes from my waist to my hip bone with increasing and lessening intensity. I cannot stand any pressure on my upper breastbone area. I am also extrememly constipated and have what we refer to as rabbit turds. My little cats are more productive!! After reading some of this I am more ocnvinced than ever than it is something he is going to have to look at unless this GI doc comes up with something big. It just takes so long and feeling so crummy this whole time. Just venting and looking for maybe some input.

An ulcer is one of the theories. I am having an EGD and colonoscopy on Thursday. Is all this a sign of an ulcer?? do you think??
